Beautiful fortress surrounded by amazing nature! Robert was a fantastic guide and took us through the building for 1,5 hours and explained everything in detail (in perfect English btw). It costs 7,5€ per person and is definitely worth it if you’re interested in architecture and history.
Cheers Robert!
Great place to walk and take in some panoramic views.
Two hours didn't feel like two hours as the guide was so knowledgeable and informative. We (2 adults and 2 children - 8 & 12) went on the bat guided tour and enjoyed it very much. As bats are wild animals, you cannot go there expecting to see hundreds flying around, but we did see a few and you'll certainly get an insight into the lives of these wonderful animals. You learn a little about the history of the fort at the beginning of the tour and the place itself makes for a very atmospheric experience. I'd definitely recommend it.
Even without english tourguide (the missing star).
This feels like a very overseen site that is honestly worth the time.
Noteworthy site with interesting history and a good guide that knows his stuff "in german".
Pricing is good with only 7.5euro for 1.5 hour guided tour.
Familiy friendly site.
Practical shoes required :)
A delusion to arrive to the fort and all ia fully closed, means that is almost impossible to see the fort from the gate. The area is fantastic I'll love to live there but as visitor is a bad thing.
Historic landmark, one hour bike ride away from Berlin.Featured among others in Tarantino's film "Inglorious basterds". The tour (in German) is quite informative about the history of the place.
This was a really good historical tour. It was well delivered and the guide offered to translate everything into English for us but our German was ok for this.
lovely! a pity there is not enough money to save it in the long term... :(
Great place to walk and take in some panoramic views.
